Review: Flora & Ulysses (2021)

An imaginative and creative 10-year old cynic never could have predicted that her little squirrel would be born anew as a superhero and have the uncanny knack for helping her and the lovable but broken people in her life.
I'm not exactly sure how I managed to watch this entire film. Its not a bad film but its clearly a family friendly film intended for much younger audiences. I'm a huge fan of the superhero genre and I love many of the actors from other things they've done but this film just wasn't very interesting to me. It is a cute film with adorable characters though but extremely predictable. So if you have young children and want to have something playing that they can enjoy while you're preparing dinner or doing something else, this is probably perfect but otherwise its like putting your brain in a bowl of lukewarm soup for an hour and a half.
