Review: Triad Princess - Season 1 (2019)
After jostling her way into a gig as a celebrity bodyguard, the boisterous daughter of a powerful triad boss shakes up a TV star's life while finding love.
This entire season was like one long pilot episode. The characters are all pretty likable but in 6 episodes its really hard to learn too much about any of them. Many of the fighting and action scenes are a bit over the top and cheesy, but it is entertaining programming nonetheless. By the last episode, I felt like things were just getting started. Even though the story seems promising, I would wait to see if Triad Princess gets picked up before investing any time in this series. It definitely has some potential for a cute romance story but unless you are huge fan of Jasper Liu or Eugenie Liu its hard to recommend it without the promise of future episodes on the horizon.
Swin: 6/10 - One giant tease.
